The 2006 Texas Chapter of Women’s Recreational Shooting
Association would like to thank all of the local and event sponsors for
their support. The contributions of these companies and individuals, by
supporting women’s increased involvement in the shooting and hunting
sports, are growing each year.
We were honored to have Ms. Sue King as a Special Guest at this year’s
event. Sue spoke and gave us insight as to the beginnings of ladies in
the shooting sports that continue today.
- Ms. Peggy Siler, President of WRSA was a participant and speaker.
- We thank Peggy for making the 12 hour drive to Texas to shoot with us.
We were excited to have Ms. Tara Dooley with the Houston Chronicle as a
student at a Beginner Clinic in April. Tara joined us as an observer at a
NSCA registered tournament and as a guest at the Ladies Event on Saturday,
May 13. Tara will be the author of a feature article about women and
shooting that will appear in the Sunday paper on May 28. Don’t miss it!!
